Le Creuset

Le Creuset, 6 quart oval, Ocean Blue
On the 9th day of Christmas blogging, my father and stepmother gave to me... my first Le Creuset (my first dutch oven, for that matter).  Hesitant about such products due to their pure heft joining my tiny kitchen, I had been eyeing the ocean blue version exclusive to Williams Sonoma with new interest.  It's just so appealing.  Although it may become a permanent fixture on my stovetop, given the lack of space to put it elsewhere, I can't wait to make stews and roasts with it.

I just got a Le Creuset dutch oven in "Ocean" for Christmas as well! I was actually looking up photos of it online to post about on my blog and I stumbled upon yours. :-) I can't wait to try mine out!

I think you might find, as long as your lid fits really tightly, that it is the best braising pot you will ever own. I have to keep mine on the stove too! Look for the vintage 7 quart version. Unbelievable!

You may find it makes everything you cook in it taate better. You have to make sure the lid is really tight and keeps in all the condensation. The vintage ones were heavier (i know ...) and the lid on my old 7 quart version keeps Everything in.

Thanks, guys! I made the roasted chicken in the pot and it was amazing, so much better than other pots and pans.
